Matthew
Giclee
Edition 50
Released April 2005
SOLD OUT
“Matthew” was created to commemorate the birth of my
son, Matthew Andrew Everson. As the eagle is the main crest from
my grandmother Margaret Frank, I immediately saw that little Matthew
was a baby eagle. This print represents that affiliation. I know
that Matthew will grow and thrive in a strong cultural tradition
based on his Mi’kmaq and Kwakwaka’wakw roots.
This is my first collaborative piece as the middle portion of the
print was painted by my three-year old daughter, Claire, and is,
I think, her rendition of her happy baby brother.
This print is given to friends and family in respect of your love
and support through the years and in the years to come. The Gallery
Proofs are presented to art galleries that have continued to show
support to my burgeoning career as an artist. Thank you.
“Matthew” is a limited edition print
using the giclée method of printmaking. Print production
took place during April of 2005 at the artist’s own studio
in Comox B.C. The artist was involved throughout the printing process.
A total of 72 prints bear the title “Matthew” and are
signed by Andy Everson: 50 in the primary edition bearing the numbers
1/50 through 50/50; 5 Artist’s Proofs; 16 Gallery Proofs;
and 1 Printer’s Proof. The acid-free 100% cotton Entrada Rag
paper measures 5x7 inches.
